These terms govern your use of ownyourplatform.co, the free report, and any paid service you buy through this site. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
This site is operated by MacKay Professional Real Estate Corporation, a corporation incorporated in the Province of Ontario, Canada, which carries on business as Own Your Platform. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean MacKay Professional Real Estate Corporation. "You" means anyone who uses this site or buys a service through it.
What this site is
This site offers a free report and sells business consulting services to real estate team owners. It is a marketing and booking site. Nothing on it creates a client relationship until we both agree in writing on the work and you have paid for it.
This is not professional advice
Everything on this site and in the report is general business information based on our own experience. It is not legal, accounting, tax, financial, investment, brokerage, or real estate advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation.
You are responsible for your own business decisions. Before you cancel a contract, change a system, or commit money based on anything you read here, get advice from your own lawyer, accountant, or adviser.
Results are not guaranteed
The figures on this site and in the report describe what happened in our own business. They are examples, not promises, and they are not typical or expected results for anyone else.
Your results depend on your market, your team, your systems, your effort, and many other things outside our control. We do not guarantee any level of revenue, savings, growth, recruiting, retention, or any other outcome. You accept that you may not get the same results and may get no result at all.
The free report
The report is free. To get it you give us your name, email address, and a small amount of information about your business. We handle that information as described in our Privacy Policy.
The report is for you and your business. You may not resell it, republish it, or distribute it as your own work.
Paid services
Paid services, including the platform audit, are described on the page where you buy them. The price, what is included, and any guarantee are the ones shown on that page at the time you buy.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying you agree to Stripe's own terms as well as these. Prices are in the currency shown at checkout and do not include any tax that may apply.
Where a service is offered with a stated guarantee, that guarantee applies exactly as it is written on the page for that service, and only if you meet the conditions written there. This includes providing the information we ask for and attending the session you booked. If you do not provide what is needed for us to do the work, the guarantee does not apply.
Sessions are booked through our calendar. If you need to change a booking, contact us as early as you can.
Ownership of our material
The site, the report, and all text, graphics, and other material on it belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read it, print it, and use it inside your own business. You may not copy it, resell it, republish it, or use it to build a competing product or service without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for anything unlawful.
- Submit false information, or someone else's information without their permission.
- Attempt to gain access to any part of the site, system, or data you are not authorised to use.
- Interfere with the site, overload it, or disrupt anyone else's use of it.
- Copy or scrape the site by automated means.
Other websites
This site links to and embeds services we do not control, including payment and calendar providers. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, or their practices. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
The site is provided as is
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will always be available, error free, or free of anything harmful. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and the report are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of your use of this site, the report, or any service bought through it. This applies however the loss arises, including in contract, in tort, or otherwise, and even if we were told the loss was possible.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars if you paid us nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, or cost, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your breach of any law or the rights of anyone else.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of these terms.
Changes
We may change these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply from the day they are posted. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms.
Ending access
We may suspend or withdraw access to the site, or to any service, if you breach these terms or if we reasonably believe you are misusing it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there. You agree that the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts.
General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it. These terms are the whole agreement between us about your use of this site.
